In October of 2008, The Doxa Foundation funded an effort in Vienna, Austria. A team of four women from Georgia, Texas, and Minnesota traveled to provide encouragement for Reggy Hiller, a missionary who works with inner city youth in Vienna. It was great to be able to help at the Youth Center she leads, play with the children and teens, cook for them, clean, and teach classes. The team provided a break for Reggy from her normal responsibilities. The week went by quickly and we pray that Reggy and her helpers were encouraged spiritually and physically by this effort.
In early November, 2007, The Doxa Foundation funded an effort in Novosibirsk, Russia. A wonderful team of spiritually-focused women from Texas, Georgia, and Minnesota traveled to Novosibirsk to carry out a 4 day spiritual renewal retreat. 21 women from more than 10 different churches in 6 different Siberian cities attended. These ladies almost all have a number of women in their lives they minister to. It was good, for a few precious hours that week, for them to be mentored and ministered to as well.
